Maria Spirtou

Maria Spirtou is a Reproductive Biologist specialized in fertility diagnostic testing. She studied Biology at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece with emphasis on Human Genetics, Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Bioinformatics. She then completed her postgraduate studies at the University of West Attica in Greece, where she specialized in Human Fertility and specifically in the diagnostic investigation of male and female infertility.

Ms Spirtou has professional experience in a wide range of diagnostic tests and specifically in male and female hormonal testing, in specialized biochemical, microbiological and molecular tests and in the extended semen analysis. She is certified in genomic analysis – next generation and exome sequencing with training in Python Programming environment by the Johns Hopkins University, USA. In addition, she has been trained in embryological procedures surrounding the IVF and Medically Assisted Reproduction.
